Latest Tips and Advice

Time is the most important commodity for all of us! We can make more money, we can start a new business, some friends and family members can be replaced, but time is a different matter. Once that has gone, it has gone. Still no point crying over spilt milk! One of our favourite time-savers is audiobooks. While you are in the car, at the gym, in the bathroom, out for a walk, travelling on public transport, spending time with the in-laws, whatever and wherever, audiobooks give you a chance to learn something new. This month is no exception:

Want more traffic through to your website, but not sure how you can do it without selling a kidney? We have been listening to the audiobook Inbound Marketing from Audible (if you're US-based use this link). This book offers some real-life, easy-to-implement changes to the way that you use your website.

Quote Something...

A quote which was referenced a few times this month from separate sources is from Mark Twain:
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.
Sometimes it does not matter how well you think that you know something, it can be useful to remain humble and see if can always learn a little more. You may surprise yourself!

Going to Market this Summer!!
We have taken some of the ideas presented in our latest book recommendation and decided to create a series of blog entries to help people understand the world of social media and to encourage them to implement small changes that will hopefully increase visitors to their website. We have started with a little introduction to some of the more popular social media and community sites here. By using some simple ideas daily or weekly (as time allows), it is possible to build up a community of people that will value your insight and website offerings, and this will increase the interest in your business in the long run. Please have a look at our blog, and let us know what topics you'd like more information on, and why not leave comments on the blog entries that you find interesting. This way we can help provide more information to you and others wondering about particular technical concepts, or to help clarify areas of confusion.

Sara created a child friendly quiz and we raffled a wonderful, organic Idbid toy, purchased from our friends at Firebox.com.

On Sunday 12th June, Sara, jj, Nic, Richard, Steve, James, and Katie took part in a relay marathon in Maidenhead, which was organised by the wonderful people at Purple Patch Running. The weather was not playing ball that day and we all got a little damp in body. However, our spirits stayed strong and there were some wonderful performances from the team. A big thanks to everyone that made it such a great day; to James who is always prepared and arrives in good time, Steve who braved daunting traffic to arrive, Nic who had a flight booked a few hours later, Richard for coming along at the last minute, Katie for doing the 2 laps that we desperately needed doing and to Sian for looking after our bags and things whilst studying hard. More information can be seen on our Facebook page.

In the world of Twitter we provide constant updates about green technology, website ideas, marketing advice, ethical services, and food of course! :)
